ත‍්‍රිපිටක ගාථා අකාරාදිය පාලි ත‍්‍රිපිටකය බෞද්ධ ලෝකයෙන් පරිබාහිර සමාජයට ව්‍යාප්ත වීම ත‍්‍රිපිටකයේ ගමන් මගෙහි වැදගත් සන්ධිස්ථානයකි. ථෙරවාද බෞද්ධ අධ්‍යයනයෙහි නියුතු විද්‍යාර්ථීන් බහුතරයක් මුහුණ දෙන මූලික ගැටලූවක් සේ පාලි භාෂාව පිළිබඳ අවබෝධයේ ඌනතාව හඳුනාගත හැකිය. 

'සිංහලෙන් පාලි' මෙම ග්‍රන්ථය දර්ශනපති ඩී.සද්ධාසේන මහතා විසින් රචනා කර ඇති අතර එතුමා විසින් මෙම ග්‍රන්ථය  රචනා කිරීමේදී පාලි භාෂාව පිළිබද මහා වියතකු වන ඒ.පී.බුද්ධදත්ත ස්වාමීන් වහන්සේගේ ' එඊඩ්ස් ටු පාලි කන්වසේශන් ඇන්ඩ් ට්‍රන්ස්ලේශන්' යන කෘතියෙන් ද ඉතා වටිනා කරුණු ගෙන මෙම කෘතියට අන්තර් ගත කර ගෙන ඇත.

'උගතමනා ජපන් බස' නම් මෙම කෘතිය ආචාර්ය ඒ. ජේ. රුහුණුහේවා මහතා විසින් රචිත කෘතියකි. ජපන් භාෂාවේ එදිනෙදා ව්‍යවහාර කෙරෙන වචන රාශියක් එක්තැන් කොට ඇති මෙම කෘතිය සරල ලෙසත් විද්‍යානුකූල ලෙසත් සකස් කර ඇති අතර මෙම කෘතිය මගින් ජපන් බස හදාරණ සැමට අත්වැලක් වනු නො අනුමානය.

මෙම ශබ්දකෝෂය තුළ ශීර්ෂ පද 85,000කට වැඩි ගණනකට අරුත් සපයා ඇති අතර එදිනෙදා භාවිතයේ දී අවශ්‍ය වන වදන් බොහෝමයක් එක් රැස් කර ඇති නිසා අපේ පැරණි පොතපත පරිශීලනය කරන්නන්ට හට මහඟු අත්වැලක් සපයයි. පැරණි බෞද්ධ පොතපත කියවන අයට මාර්ගෝපදේශකයෙකි. සිංහල භාෂාව හදාරන දරුදැරියනට ඉතා ප්‍රයෝජනවත් වන අතර පරිගණක විද්‍යාව,තොරතුරු තාක්ෂණය ඇතුළු විවිධ විෂයයන් රැසකට අදාළ වචන විශාල ප්‍රමාණයක් ඇතුළත් කර ඇති ශබ්දකෝශයකි. නූතන සන්නිවේදනය සඳහා සිංහල බස යොදා ගන්නා අයට මහෝපකාරී ග්‍රන්ථයකි.
