වෙල්ලස්සේ නිදහස් සටන - කතුවරයාගේ අදහසට අනුව මෙම පොත රචනා කිරීමේ අරමුණ වන්නේ, වෙල්ලස්ස නිදහස් සටන ඇරඹුණ ප්‍රදේශය, එය ඇරඹූ පිරිස මෙන් ම ඊට හේතු පාදක වූ කරුණු අනාවරණය කිරීමය.

ලංකාවේ රජවරු සහ එදා නීති රීති - සිංහල සමාජ සංවිධානයෙහි ප‍්‍රමුඛස්ථානය ගනුලැබූ රාජ්‍යයත්වයෙහි ආරම්භයේ සිටම එම තනතුර සදහා පැවති යුතුකම් වගකීම් මෙන් ම ඒ සදහා එක්ව සිටි පරිපාලන නිලධාරීන් පිළිබදව සංක්ෂිප්ත තොරතුරු මෙම ග‍්‍රන්ථයට ඇතුළත් වෙයි. 

 18 පරපුර - 1818 ඌව වෙල්ලස්ස නිදහස් සටනේ උත්පත්තිය, විකාශනය සහ අවසානය අධ්‍යයනය කැරෙන අපූර්ව ග‍්‍රන්ථයකි. 

සිංහල බෝධි වංශය - ලාංකීය බෞද්ධ ජනයාගේ මුදුන් මල්කඩ වූ විජය ශ්‍රී ජය ශ්‍රී මහා බෝධීන් වහන්සේ හා සම්බන්ධ සියළු පුවත් හා සිද්ධීන්ද බෝධීන්වහන්සේගේ ලංකාගමනය හා අදාල සියළු පුවත් හා සිද්ධීන් පිළිබඳවද තොරතුරු ඇතුලත් ශ්‍රී පරාක්‍රමබාහු විල්ගම්මුල සඟරජ හිමියන් විසින් කුරුණෑගල යුගයේදී  විරචිත බෞද්ධයන්ගේ හස්තසාර ග්‍රන්ථයකි.

කෝපි කාලෙ ලංකාව - Old Ceylon - Sketches of Ceylon life in olden Time නම් ග්‍රන්ථයෙහි සිංහල අනුවාදය ලෙස මෙම ග්‍රන්ථය පාඨක ඔබ අතට පත්වේ.

ලක්බිම වන සැරිය - මෙම කෘතිය 1854 දී විලියම් නයිටොන් විසින් රචිත Forest Life In Ceylon කෘති යුගලයේ පළමු වන වෙළුම වේ.

කන්ද උඩ රට සටන් - කන්ද උඩ රට ආක්‍රමණ පිළිබඳ කළ ගවේෂණයකින් අනතුරුව රචිත Kandyan Wars ග්‍රන්ථයෙහි සිංහල පරිවර්තනය මෙය වේ.

1929 දී ප්‍රකාශයට පත් කරන ලද Romantic Ceylon නම් කෘතියේ සිංහල පරිවර්තනය ලෙස මෙම ග්‍රන්ථය පාඨක ඔබ වෙත හඳුන්වා දිය හැක.

අශෝක ශිලා ලේඛන - මෙය පොතේ තුන්වන සංස්කරණ මුද්‍රණයයි. ඒ අනුව මෙහි ඇති වැදගත්කම ඔබට අවබෝධ වනු ඇත. අශෝක රජතුමා විසින් භාරත දේශයේ පිහිටුවන ලද විවිධ ටැම් ලිපි, ගිරි ලිපි, ගුහා ලිපි ආදියෙන් ප‍්‍රකාශ වන ඓතිහාසික තොරතුරු රාශියක් මෙම පොතෙන් අනාවරණය කර තිබේ. අපේ ඉතිහාසයට සංස්කෘතියට බොහෝ දුරට සම්බන්ධ කෘතියකි. 

විමර්ශනාත්මක සිංහල ශිලා ලිපි මාලා  -  තෝනිගල, වෙස්සගිරි ආදී පැරණි ශිලා ලේඛන සම්බන්ධයෙන් කෙරෙන විග‍්‍රහයකි. ඒවා පිහිටි ස්ථාන, කාලය, කර්තෘ, අන්තර්ගතය සිංහල තේරුම සහ ව්‍යාකරණ විභාග පැහැදිලි කර ඇති බැවින් ඒ සම්බන්ධ ව ඉගෙන ගන්නා අයට සහ සැලකිල්ලක් දක්වන අයට ඉතාමත් ප‍්‍රයෝජනවත් ග‍්‍රන්ථයකි. එසේ ම උසස් අධ්‍යාපනය හදාරන අයට හා පුරාවිද්‍යාවට සම්බන්‍ධ අයට අතිශය ප‍්‍රයෝජනවත් ග‍්‍රන්ථයක් ලෙස හදුන්වමු.  

ශ්‍රී මහා බෝධීන් වහනසේ ඉතිහාසය හා තදනුබද්ධ සංස්කෘතිය - බෝධි සංකල්පයත් ශාරීරික,පාරිභෝගික,උද්දේශික ධාතු සංකල්පයත් බෝධි ආගමනයත් ඒ ඒ යුගවලදී බෝධිය රජය සමග සම්බන්ධ වූ අයුරුත් විශේෂ විග්‍රහයකට යොමු කරන්නෙකි මෙම කෘතිය.
